  1. PowerShell command needed to edit HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows...

Hi everyone.I would like to create a script to edit the values contained in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\NetworkList\DefaultMediaCost - Specifically to change the 3G and 4G values from 2 to 1 so Windows treats them as unmetered connections.I was able to change this key manually on my test machine by editing the permissions of the key to give myself full access and then change the values and it works Windows no longer restricting data or popping up notification when on a cellular connection which is what I want to achieve. I need to roll this change out to t

PowerShell instead of Commandline in Creators Update

Interestingly enough my personal laptop just got the update...and still has Command Prompt listed, not PowerShell...

Edit: Not that it matters...I use both regularly. *Toast :toast:

    Absent HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Windows

Windows 10 Home, installed as a free update over Windows 7.

    When I open the registry,
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Windows Search
    is not present.

    All that exists is
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\COMMS\
    and
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\DM\

What do I need to do to regain
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Windows Search ?
