  3. nokiamserver.exe hogs 50% CPU and 330mb RAM

nokiamserver.exe hogs 50% CPU and 330mb RAM on a 2.2ghz dual core dell laptop with 4GB RAM and Win 7. In fact it makes it feel worse than my 6 year old 1.3ghz single core centrino.

This process runs continually and causes the fan to run high, therefore it is clearly using high power and certainly not environmentally friendly - this is a known issue that I can see on several discussion boards for many months and yet Nokia has failed
    to fix it.

As a new Nokia customer i am not impressed with this poor quality of software and all these power stations around the globe churning out additional CO2 emissions. I hope Nokia fixes this soon - firstly it should not require so much CPU or RAM, secondly,
it should only run as required and close when the app closes.

This process does not close upon exiting the Ovi application. The only way to close it is manually using the task bar. As of today i have all the latest software versions installed.

    nokiamserver.exe hogs 50% CPU and 330mb RAM

Ovi Suite performance and functionality as well as NokiaMserver.exe issue is really unacceptable to a business user.

Thanks to Biff27's suggestion I have uninstalled Ovi suite and installed PC Suite in its place. I have tested it and found that the PC suite although older design, does have a Windows 7 version for the E72, and is -

    - significantly faster, by several factors

    - more functional, apart from integrated Ovi Maps (but that does not work properly in OVi Suite anyway!)

    - far better design / UI

    - does not hog CPU or RAM

The bottom line is that Ovi Suite is an embarrassment to Nokia and it should be ditched immediately to protect their reputation. Whoever designed and wrote this pile of dog poo should be severely re-trained / educated or sacked. It is simply appalling and
a waste of money. If i lose PC Suite in the future the Nokia will lose me as a customer because i will not put up with Ovi Suite.

I would still like Nokia Support to explain this situation though.
