Windows 10: Powershell running in the background and using a LOT of memory. How to fix??

Hi, I am running Windows 10 and I've noticed my PC has gotten slower lately. I've deleted a few programs but noticed that powershell is taking around 2000-3000 MB. How can I fix it?

hello employees and helpers of microsoft, my problem is, powershell running background, i dont know why powershell initiates when my pc starts, usually when i open task manager i see powershell running but in others, no.

1 month ago i used windows toolbox and i optimized my device in powershell,

idunno what that cause the problem. i tried to use powershell commands like get-job but no jobs

shows in lists, i tried most of commands in web but nothing...

i hope what you can help me, cuz powershell drains my battery, disk, and cpu.

please. btw; i have windows 10 21h2 home.

How do we stop the Photos app from running as a background process and consuming a lot of memory?

We understand that not all of users are using the Photos app on Windows 10, if not very often. If you don't want this app to be running on background when not in use, there is a way you can turn this off. Kindly follow the steps provided below:

  and press Enter.
• Look for Background apps.
