I'm using Windows 10 Home on a Lenovo laptop.Malwarebytes and Windows Defender both come up with nothing. Full and offline scans included. As far as I or my Antivirus programs know, I have no recent history of infections.I've downloaded some 3rd party software, but nothing sketchy. However, I'm occasionally forced to plug in USBs and accept files from people who are less careful in their online habits.I noticed Powershell appears in the Task Manager whenever I turn on my laptop. It stays there for a few seconds, and then vanishes. There's nothing in the taskbar, and no window, either. Googli

hello employees and helpers of microsoft, my problem is, powershell running background, i dont know why powershell initiates when my pc starts, usually when i open task manager i see powershell running but in others, no.

1 month ago i used windows toolbox and i optimized my device in powershell,

idunno what that cause the problem. i tried to use powershell commands like get-job but no jobs

shows in lists, i tried most of commands in web but nothing...

i hope what you can help me, cuz powershell drains my battery, disk, and cpu.

please. btw; i have windows 10 21h2 home.

bad news, powershell runs in background but now, dont run frecuently.

 

PowerShell instead of Commandline in Creators Update

Interestingly enough my personal laptop just got the update...and still has Command Prompt listed, not PowerShell...

Edit: Not that it matters...I use both regularly. *Toast :toast:
