Windows 10: Preparing for Win11 and stuck at the "Prepare the TPM"

Preparing for Win11. Had to enable fTPM in my BIOS, thats done. In the TPM management window, I have confirmed the version to be 2.0 . The Status is TPM is ready for use. I seem to be stuck here at the Actions window as the "Prepare the TPM" is greyed out. Ive tried clearing the TPM but even after restart there is not change. Any ideas?

Stuck in 'Preparing Automatic Repair' loop when enabling TPM

Hello,

I have managed to enable TPM in the BIOS menu according to the instructions here https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/...7-ae6b0c90645c.

When I restart from the BIOS menu my laptop gets stuck in a loop where it will say "preparing automatic repair" and then "diagnosing your PC" and then it will say that it failed and take me back to the recovery screen.

If I restart or shut down and then on the same happens. If I go back to the BIOS and revert the changes (disabling TPM) it all goes back to normal.

How can I enable TPM without running into this issue?

Windows Version 21H1 (OS Build 19043.1237)

Thanks for the previous feedback. After reading your posts and being stuck on "Preparing" for 30 mins, I disconnected the phone, rebooted Windows, and then redid the procedure.

"Preparing installation" then came up for 30 secs and then the installation continued, during the course of which my phone was powered down (so I could see that it was doing something!).

Would be good if the Nokia FAQ could include the suggestion of rebooting Windows, please!
