Windows 10: Press '/' to jump to the search box.

Upon the first use of CTRL-C on many but not all webpage, I am blessed with this pop-up image. I would prefer not to be so blessed. Dear Windows 10 brothers and sisters, please advise how I can be unblessed with this popup.

cannot turn off jump list

Hi Rohit,

To address this concern, we suggest that you follow these steps on how to turn off the Jump Lists on Windows 10:

• Go to Start menu, search Settings, then press
  Enter.
• Click Personalization.
• Select Start.
• Turn off the Show recently opened items in Jump Lists on Start or taskbar.

Since this issue can be caused by software conflict or system file corrupted.



I would suggest you to follow the below methods to fix search issue.

Method 1: Try to run search and indexing troubleshooter.

Follow the steps.

• 
  Go to Start button, and then clicking Control Panel.
  
• 
  In the search box, type
  troubleshooter, and then click Troubleshooting. Click
  View all, and then click Search and Indexing.
  

Method 2:

I suggest that you reset the Windows Store cache as per the below mentioned steps and check:

• 
  Press Windows key
  and R key together to open the Run Window.
  
• 
  Type wsreset.exe
  and press Enter key for the command to execute.
