Pretty much all Windows Settings Open for a second and then close.

I'm not sure how long this has been going on, but I only noticed it when I couldn't pin programs to my start menu anymore, and somehow a lot of the programs that I had pinned to it were lost. (Maybe I should mention that I did move pretty much all of my appdata folders to my HDD last night to save me some space on my SSD.)

I can't get into the settings for anything. Windows settings, Personalize from the desktop, Display Settings from the desktop, Check for Updates, as well as the start menu settings, all open for 1-2 seconds, and then close before I can do anything. I've been searching all day for fixes on this. I've found a few options but they all seem to be from years ago. I still tried them though. The only one that seemed to work for me was to make another Administrator user account and try opening the settings on that. I'm not sure how to transfer all my stuff to that account though, so I'd prefer if I could just get this issue fixed on my current user account. The whole reason I'm posting this here though is because I looked in my event viewer and there's a BUNCH of error logs in it.

    Hi ItsComa.

You said you moved your appdata folders. Have you tried to reverse the changes?

I might suggest you use a tool like Macrium Reflect to create a system image before making any additional changes in case it all heads south.

Apart from your data (docs, pics, music, etc) is there other stuff you want to keep from the original user?

No, I haven't tried reversing the changes I made. And it's mainly all my saves/steam games that I want. I'm not entirely sure how it works with user accounts though. I'm not sure if I can access all of those files from the new user account or not. I haven't tried. I'll investigate that more tomorrow as well as try reverting the location changes I made. I don't know why that would mess with anything though. Why would windows let me change the location of something if it's going to mess important stuff up? (I'm mainly referring to the windows updates window that won't stay open)
