Windows 10: Prevent extended desktop from switching while I switch main desktop

Is there a way to prevent my extended desktop from switching when I use switch a different desktop using gestures or otherwise. What I want is for my extended desktop to keep the application on the screen while I switch between desktops on the main screen, you can say kind of like mac. If it, this takes a lot of multitasking away and I end up keeping all my open applications on one single desktop. Thanks for the help. I am using Windows 10 on a Surface Book 2.

when I use four finger gesture to switch desktop, the desktop on my extended display also gets switched, how can I prevent it do that, in other words, can my extended display be on a different desktop than the my laptop display?

 

Windows 10 switching desktops (bug)

• Press 'Windows' key. It opens the 'Start' menu.
  
• Switch to any other desktop than current desktop using 'Ctrl' + 'Windows' + '->' (or '<-')
• Press escape ( to get rid of 'start' menu)

When I am taken back to the old desktop ( from where I switched to the new desktop).

Is this a bug ? Sometimes while switching desktops, I accidentally press the windows key which reproduces this issue and it is irritating.
