Prevent mouse from getting stuck in the corners [dual screen setup]

    Hello everyone,

I use the window snapping feature a lot, but mainly for maximizing windows. I have a dual screen setup and when I drag a window along the top edge of the screen onto the second screen, it becomes stuck. This is very annoying, because I often want to move a window from screen 1 to screen 2 and maximize it at the same time.
I first thought that this issue was related to the new ability to snap windows to one of the four corners. But even if I turn off snapping entirely and even if I am not dragging a window at all, my mouse becomes stuck in the top right corner of the first screen.
    How can I fix this?

    Greetings,

    :)

Windows 10 mouse gets stuck in corner of monitors (dual monitor setup)

    Hi,

We appreciate your efforts in providing us a diagram of the issue. We would like to ask for more information so we could provide a proper resolution:

    • When was the last time you were able to successfully click-and-drag Windows from the left hand monitor to the right?
    • Since when have you been experiencing this issue? Was Windows upgraded recently?
    • What's the exact build of the Windows 10 that you're currently using? To get this information, go to Windows Settings > System > About.

    You can also do this:

    1.Hit Start.

    2.Type winver.

    3.Press Enter.

Installing any important and optimal updates can often correct issues by replacing outdated files and fixing vulnerabilities. The best way to keep your PC current is to turn on automatic updates. With automatic updates, you
don’t have to search for updates online or possibly miss critical fixes or device drivers for your Windows PC. Windows Update automatically installs important updates as they become available.

To turn on automatic updates in Windows 10:

    • Select the Start button, then select Settings > Update & security > Windows Update . If you want to check for updates manually, select Check for updates.
    • Select Advanced options, and then under Choose how updates are installed, select Automatic (recommended).

We look forward to your response.

Windows 10 mouse gets stuck in corner of monitors (dual monitor setup)

I have a rectangular monitor (left) and a square monitor (right).

If I try to move the mouse from the top of the left monitor to the top of the right monitor, it gets stuck. This makes it very frustrating when I'm trying to click-and-drag windows from the lefthand monitor to the right.

It's like Windows 10 decides the right hand monitor is set "lower" (see MS Paint diagram).

I never had this issue with previous versions of Windows.

Do both screens have the same resolution ?
Are they aligned exactly side by side in the Screen Resolutions settings (You can see the co-ordinates when you drag the monitor icon up or down)?

Either of these will cause the mouse to "stick" at the top or bottom edges of the screens

Both have the exact same resolution (1920x1080) and they are aligned exactly side-by-side. It even says "1920, 0" for the second screen.

I think it's a built in feature. It happens on my 8.1 machine also. I think it's to keep on the monitor you are using if you have more than one. Like as a way to not wonder off to easy if you bump the mouse when not in use.

I have this exact same issue. I run 3 monitors, on every corner it catches. Super annoying.
