Windows 10: Prevent new Windows installation to activate discrete graphics

I have a HP mobile workstation a laptop with a broken discrete graphics. I want to install Windows 11 but whenever the setup completes the installation process it freezes in a blank screen. It does that because Windows tries to install the graphics' drivers an AMD and it crashes obviously. Is there any method to prevent Windows installing the drivers when a new installation is happening on PC? I already blocked Windows Update and disabled the graphics card, also in the BIOS otherwise I can't use the laptop. Problem is when I want to install a new update, Windows attempts to install the d

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

 

How to force Edge use discrete graphics?

Hi,

You may try the following steps and check if the issue persist.

• Right clicking on the Desktop and selecting NVIDIA Control Panel
• Navigating to the Control Panel and searching for NVIDIA Control Panel

If you don't have it installed, make sure you have the latest NVIDIA drivers.

Under the NVIDIA Control Panel, navigate to 3D Settings -> Manage 3D Settings. Select the
Global Settings tab and use the Preferred graphics processor drop-down to select
High-performance NVIDIA processor. Then hit the Apply button. You may need to restart your computer.

Thanks for reply. I checked my UEFI settings and contacted the Lenovo support and found that there's only 2 options there:

• UMA Graphics
• Switchable Graphics

The first option means integrated graphic card only. There's no options like "discrete graphic card only/preferred".
