Windows 10 Version 1809VivoBook X513EA 15.6" Laptop - Intel® Core™ i7Hi.I recently purchased a external 2TB Western Digital My Passport SSD and when plugged in to my laptop it quickly goes to sleep after about a minute of not being read or written. It does this regardles of what USB type socket it is connected to. Normally a person would right click on the battery icon > Power Options > Change Power Plans > Change advanced power optionsHowever there is no option for USB settings anywhere in the power options box that opens? I have look in the Group Policy Editor but the settings do no

I recently purchased a external 2TB Western Digital My Passport SSD and when plugged in to my laptop it quickly goes to sleep after about a minute of not being read or written. It does this regardles of what USB type socket it is connected to.

Normally a person would right click on the battery icon > Power Options > Change Power Plans > Change advanced power options

However there is no option for USB settings anywhere in the power options box that opens?

I have look in the Group Policy Editor but the settings do not exist there either.

I have checked the ASUS VivoBook X513EA 15.6" Laptop online support and my model is supposed to have it so it seems for some reason Windows has removed it?

I know the last / latest version of Win 10 is 22H2 but I would have thought that the very common feature of "Change advanced power options" would be in Version 1809

I also have the latest BIOS updated.

Since the Anniversary Up Date my Western Digital Passport keeps going off line? It also appears Win 10 may be controlling it? Thanks
