    I have a USB-connected printer that I only have access to when I am in a specific location. I want to be able to send things to the queue for that printer even when it is not connected.The desired outcome is to have things wait in the print queue until I next plug in to the printer, so that I don't have to remember everything I wanted to print, it will all just be there in the queue waiting.I used to be able to do this in Windows 10, but in Windows 11 the printer is hidden from the list of available printers whenever it's not connected. As soon as I plug into it it shows back up on the list, b

    To be sure that you followed my suggestion correctly, I will specify some steps: CP>devices and printers>add a printer>the printer that I want isn't listed>add a local printer with manual settings>define port>Windows update and install

    Disconnect all the external devices ( scanner, USB (universal serial bus) drives, etc...), except mouse, printer and the keyboard.

    Hi Robert,

    I suggest you to run the Printer Troubleshooter and check if it helps.

    • In Search window type Troubleshooting and click on it to open it.
    • Click on Hardware and Sound.
    • Then click on Printer to run the troubleshooter. Follow onscreen steps.
