Prevention of virus spread to home network

Hi - I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this kind of question, my apologies if I am in the wrong place, and I will appreciate any direction to the right place!

I am starting a small computer repair business shortly after the New Year, and I will be starting it from my home. My question: how do I prevent potential virus/malware infection of my home network from a PC/laptop which I bring into my home for repair? I have Norton Security on my desktop computer, my laptop and my wife's laptop. I also run Malwarebytes on all three. Do I need to worry? Thanks.

    :)

Did our Epson printer get hacked?

Another question, is this on a home network or a work network? The steps @eidairaman1 listed are always a good first step. If this is on a work network you manage, I'd be much more concerned than the home one. It is possible someone is screwing with you, but malware could also be the culprit.
