Windows 10: prevents shut down

i dont get starting sound starting sound is ON in settings and on shut down msg is windows/device directory client / registered user device is running, i have to force shut it to shut computer,,,windows 11,, 2nd question how to get rid of Microsoft cloud backup

win 10 will not shut down properly

Regarding your issue with Task Host preventing Windows to shut down, you can run the Power Troubleshooter as an initial troubleshooting step. Here's how:

• Click Start (Windows icon). Go to Settings
  (gear icon) or you can press Windows key+ I on your keyboard.
• Go to Update & security section.
• Select Troubleshoot from the menu on the left and in the right pane select
  Power and click on Run the troubleshooter.
• Troubleshooter will now start. Follow the instructions on the screen to complete it.
• Once done, check if you'll be able to shut down your Surface book.
