Windows 10: Preview Pane in File Explorer "chops off" right hand portion of previewed PDF documents -...

Why does "preview pane" of File Explorer "chop off" part 1/4-1/3 of the right side of a document, when providing the preview of the document, this is especially annoying when the most important part of the document is near the right margin. Why not make it preview a complete page you fetched the whole document in your cache, rather than just a sub-left portion of a pdf page, for example? It would seem if you are fetching a document, you could allow one to zoom in just a bit, to see the entire front page, rather than cropping out the right hand portion. This is a very annoying, and seems

Win 10 File Explorer Preview Pane Half Missing

Hi,

I am running Windows 10 Version 1511.

In file explorer when previewing pdf files in the preview pane only the left hand side top of the previewed document is showing.

The right hand side and the bottom is missing and that includes the scroll bar at the right hand side and the bottom (if there is a bottom one).

The previewed document is magnified off the screen but file explorer still has "help" and the "close X" at the top right hand side still on the screen so it does not appear to be a resolution issue with File Explorer?

Can anyone help please?

Setting the Preview pane to show or hide in File Explorer will apply to all folders. If you wish to hide the Preview pane in File Explorer, we suggest that you follow the steps below:

• Open File Explorer.
• Tap on View tab.
• Click Preview Pane to view/hide it.

I followed all of your suggestions and I still have no PDF preview.
It's not thumbnails I'm worried about; it's being able to preview the document in the preview pane so I don't have to open the document.
For instance, I'm using the OCR on my PDF program and while that's running, I can't open any documents in the program.
If I could view them in the preview pane, like I'm supposed to, I'd be able to see the next document I need to review.



A couple of the suggestions were for Adobe, and that's not my PDF.
I use Nitro. I just purchased the latest version today.
I just prefer it over Adobe.



What's really weird is that it comes and goes. Some days, I can preview everything; other days, one or the other isn't previewing.
And then there are those really bad days when nothing previews!



If you've got any other suggestions, I'm willing to try almost anything.
