Windows 10: Preview Pane not showing comments on word documents

In the past, I was able to see the track changes and comments in the file explorer preview pane. Now I have to actually open the document to read the comment. Anyone know a fix for this?

Setting the Preview pane to show or hide in File Explorer will apply to all folders. If you wish to hide the Preview pane in File Explorer, we suggest that you follow the steps below:

• Open File Explorer.
• Tap on View tab.
• Click Preview Pane to view/hide it.

Method 2:

a. Open Windows Explorer.

b. Click on Organize, and then select ‘Folder and Search options’.

c. On the Folder options window, click on the View tab.

d. Now under Files and Folders, uncheck the option ‘Always show icons, never thumbnails’

Method 3:

a. Open Folder Options

b. Click on the View tab.

c. Check the ‘Show preview handlers in preview pane’ box.

NOTE: Unchecking this will not remove the preview pane, but there will be no preview of the file in the preview pane. It will just be empty.

d. Click OK.

Method 4:

Follow the steps in the link below to preview Microsoft Word document.
