Windows 10: Preview Pane Size Not Optimal, preview handlers

Hi,

I am working on three monitors of different sizes. Multiple displays mode is set to: "Extend desktop to this display". In other words I can e.g. work with multiple apps or File Explorers opened and arranged for convenience.

All three monitors are set to recommended resolutions, size of text, apps and other items.

It is crucial for me to have the Preview Pane activated as I need to go quickly through multiple files without the necessity of opening them with an dedicated app.

I also need the Preview Pane handlers activated, to easily rotate the files if needed.

All would be great if the preview pane could be maximized to use the entire space of the space available on the monitor. It is not. As I click on the Left Hand edge of the Preview Pane to change its size (maximize it), the Preview Pane changes the size and follows the Left Edge but at the same time the Right Edge of the Preview Pane follows the Left Edge that is being adjusted thus not using the entire space available.

What I am after is to have the preview Pane Right Hand Edge to be as close as possible to the Right Hand edge of the monitor and the Left Hand edge of the Preview Pane as close as possible to the File List.

The other problem is that the Preview Pane lower edge is not reaching the bottom of the monitor. Which again makes the Picture or File content not as big as possible.

I would really appreciate your advice as I`ve been fighting it for some time already.

Windows 10 File Explorer video thumbnail display problem

The problem is with Windows Media Player's Rich Preview Handler. If this handler is disabled, the Preview pane refreshes the image correctly, but you lose the ability to "play" that video from the Preview pane. I mean, the control bar won't appear under
the preview image.

On the other hand, if the WMP Preview Handler is enabled (default), the preview image fails to update, but you can still play the video from the preview pane. Hope this gets fixed in future updates.

Here are the REG files to enable and disable the handler.

It's a bug in WMP's rich preview handler... and the only workaround is to disable the handler. Doing so would fix image previews, but the media can't be played from the Preview pane. (Preview

But if the folder views is set to icons, there is no point in disabling this handler, as thumbnail images render correctly anyway.

If I maximize File Explorer and drag only the left border of the preview pane all the way to the right, this is what I see.
