Windows 10: Preview release.

Its CPP pension, being sent every last Friday of the month and arrives here Tuesdays.

 

Hmmm..., install Windows 9 or go to the bank... install Windows 9, obviously! *Wink

 

Both of course, need money to by Champagne !!!

 

My SSI check comes in on the 3rd so it's will be a hectic day then and Erin's comes in on the 1st, another semi busy day.

And to top it off.. no internet access from 10/5 - 10/11 due to major work on my duplex.

And not in a good way.

 

Of course it will, we will all wanting to share our experiences, insights including the for and against and basically complain.

 

Unless everybody is out spending their pension cheques. *Huh

 

I for one hope is not a lot of complaining.

 

Can spend it just fine without getting out, lately buying thru web shops mostly, so much easier to spend that to earn.

 

With all the pent up demand for this release my thoughts are on the day of the release will the M$ servers be able to cope and give us a complete download? I hope its an ISO not an installer that insist on a previous version being present and none of that having to download and update as you go which could end up in disaster with such a high load on the servers.

 

It's probably going to be a mess few days, when 8.1 came out it took me 3 days for it to start downloading at all.

They could require you to install a Microsoft supplied download manager to load balance the servers etc. IMHO a bit torrent client would be the way to go, but they'll never do that.
