Windows 10: Preview zoom PDF documents in folder does not work on Windows 11.

PDF document zoom preview in folder not working Good afternoon everyone, after upgrading to windows 11 last week i can't use the old zoom in folder preview. I'm browsing hundreds of PDFs a day, and without that tool, my efficiency is greatly reduced. Because I have to check often before printing Word documents I can still preview with zoom in and out option using CTRL + scroll. Excel documents also do not use on windows 11 like word documents, Only show preview, Can anyone really help? Any feedback is more than welcome.

Preview zoom PDF documents in folder does not work

Good afternoon all,

Following an unfortunate event from a few weeks ago I am in a position to not be able to use the old zoom within the preview side of a folder. I am browsing hundreds of PDF's every day and without that tool my efficiency has dropped a lot.

I am suspecting this is due to a Windows update, but I am not sure. I have checked with the IT department from my place of work, and they are baffled about this as well.

Originally, I used to single left click on a PDF and in the right-hand side of the folder I was able to preview the PDF and also use CTRL + scroll up and down to zoom in and out. This function has completely disappeared.... I am using PDF X Change viewer as I need the mark up tools from it.

I haven t made any changes or installed any other software; it just doesn’t do it anymore.

I have checked all the possible threads online and ticked all the boxes and approached all the items that were suggested by other users, but nothing is helping.

At the moment, when I click a PDF in the right-hand side, I see the full screen PDF. I can’t zoom in and out which doesn t help as I am working with A0 drawings most of the time. Also, if the document has more than 10 pages it asks me to open it so I can scroll down past page 10....

Word documents I can still preview with the option to zoom in and out using CTRL + scroll.

Xcel documents are a mind field, some of them are showing the preview, on some of them it does not.

I have tried installing Adobe Reader and checked the boxes as advised by other users online, but it still does not fix the zoom in and zoom out option.

Is there anyone that can truly help?

If this is due to a Windows update someone has clearly not thought this through properly....

Preview PDF's not working

In Windows 10 PDF files will not show a preview in the preview pane.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled Adobe DC and Adobe 11, I have also reset preferences on multiple occasions.
I have done a clean install of Windows 10.
I have also set Edge as the preferred program to view PDFs without Adobe being installed
For each of the above options the preview pane works for a short time and then reverts to not working, this problem only presents with PDFs, other documents such as images and Word documents will preview.

pdf doesn't preview in Windows 10 preview pane

The preview pane in File Explorer of Windows 10 does not let me preview office nor pdf documents anymore. It only shows a little icon image and doesn't allow me to zoom in like it has done before. Is there a way
to get the preview pane to let me preview all documents again?
