Windows 10: Previous password for account

To be specific, i mean local pc account, not online one.

Basically, turned out some of my secured files (3rd party and also Outlook login data) were using my windows credentials/password as a key for access and since i changed my password recently, i am unable to read these files.

I think i could open them if i'd set the same password as before again, but i forgot it or had miss-spell in it, that is why i changed it. Is there some log file where i could find past login data? Or a dir where the current ones are so i can look around.

Local Account password changed to Online Account Password

Hi,

I suggest you to follow the steps on how to switch from Microsoft account to Local account:

• Click on search in taskbar and type account.
• Click on Accounts.
• Now, under Your account, click on Sign in with Local account instead.
• Enter your Microsoft account password for confirmation and then follow the screen instruction.
• Enter User name credentials for your the Local account and click OK.
• Now, login to Local account.

you know when you boot up your computer... and yeha i have more than one account and I forgot the password to one of them.

is there anyway for me to get in to the account? or the account will be perminant lock if i dont remember password?
