Windows 10: PRIME B550M-K HDMI Audio problems chopping and stuttering

disabling fast boot in bios fix the Audio issue but if i re-enable fastboot in bios and the issue starts again looking for permanent fix advice would be appreciated

Audio stuttering after wake

Knowing that you have problems with your audio after waking up from sleep, you can try the following suggestions:



1. Check for Hardware Conflicts:

• Open Device Manager.
  
• Expand the “System devices” category.
  
• Look for any devices with yellow exclamation marks or error messages.
  
• If you find any conflicts, try disabling or uninstalling the conflicting devices.
  

2. Test with External Audio Device:

• Connect an external audio device, such as headphones or speakers, to the computer.
  
• If the audio stuttering persists, it suggests a problem with the Realtek audio device or its drivers.
  

3. Disable Audio Enhancements:

• Go to Control Panel > Sound.
  
• Select the Realtek audio device as the playback device.
  
• Click on the “Properties” button.
  
• Go to the “Enhancements” tab.
  
• Uncheck all the enhancement options.
  

If the above steps do not resolve the issue, contact Gigabyte support for further assistance. They may be able to provide additional troubleshooting steps or replace the audio device if necessary.

Thinkpad P16s AMD Audio Stutter over Integrated HDMI

This might be a strange issue but when I play music through Spotify connected to a projector over HDMI, I get weird audio stuttering over HDMI audio. But when I use miracast and connect my laptop over ethernet, I don't have any audio stutter. To be clear, the audio stutters only when I interact with other chrome tabs or move windows around then the audio stutters. Does anybody know why it might be doing this?



Testing with a MacBook Pro and the same projector, the audio lag goes away.



Testing with the same projector and an external HDMI adapter, the problem goes away. The problem lies with the integrated HDMI port causing me problems.



Laptop is Lenovo Thinkpad P16s AMD for those interested.



Might be DPC latency because when I run latencymon and try to recreate the issue I sometimes get the alert saying high lag detected but most of the time I get the audio stutter without it saying high lag detected.



Any ways for me to fix this?

 

PC to TV through HDMI

Hi,

Have you tried to reconfigure your audio settings? If not, try to change your audio output settings to HDMI by following the steps below:

• Press Windows ( ) key + X.
• Select Control Panel.
• Click Hardware & Sound.
• Click Manage Audio Devices.
• Select the HDMI device listed under the Playback tab.
• Click Set as default and click Ok.

Also, we suggest to update your audio driver.
