Windows 10: "Print Pictures" app will NOT stop opening my PNG and JPEG files.

This is an infuriating one, I cannot open PNG and JPEG files with IrfanView as default, or any photo viewer for that matter. Windows forces Print Pictures to be the default for these files. In fact, when I try to change the file extension associations in IrfanView's settings by checking PNG and JPEG, they are both automatically unchecked when I exit the options. Going in Properties on an image does not work either, as the "Opens with" option is just gone??I just bought a new laptop two days ago with Windows 11 installed. Pictures won't print

To print a photo, you may use the Photos app. Follow these steps:

• Open the Photos app and then click on the picture.
• Click the 3 dots icon and then choose Print.

What App to use to open a .mht file?

I downloaded the MHTViewer from the Windows Store but it won't open my Windows Steps Recorder files.

I would appreciate very much another suggestion that can view a .mht file that has pictures mixed with text.
