Print screen button and combinations brings nothing to clipboard, no screenshots in dropbox...

    Hi everyone,

I've read similar questions in this board but the answers provided are never applicable to me for reasons I will illustrate below, and this issue is frustrating me to no end.

I have a GXT 865 gaming keyboard, working on a desktop, I have windows 10. I have an Fn key, no F-lock key. The Fn key works in combination with all other f1-f12 buttons. I want to use the print screen button, but when I do so, nothing is pasted to the clipboard. I have tried the following combinations.

    - print screen

    - fn + print screen

    - fn + alt + print screen

    - fn + ctrl + print screen

    - fn + windows + print screen

    - all other combinations with fn + print screen + the other buttons, can't be bothered to write them all down

    - ctrl + print screen

    - ctrl + alt + printscreen

    - ctrl + windows + printscreen

    - ctrl + printscreen + any of the other buttons, can't be bothered to write down all combinations

    - alt + print screen

    - all other combinations with all + print sreen + other combination

    - windows + print screen

    - windows + alt + print screen

    - windows + print screen + all other combinations

    Additionally, I have:

    - used task manager to close dropbox. I do not have one drive or any other of those applications on my computer.

    - I have updated the drivers on my keyboard

Ultimately, the result is that I have NOTHING on my clipboard after pressing print screen or all the other various button combinations I have tried. Opening paint and ctrl + v or trying to paste does nothing, as it simply states my clipboard is empty right click, paste is greyed out, in paint the paint in the upper left corner is greyed out and unclickable. I have no indication that windows saved the print screens somewhere else. It just seems like the button doesn't work.

This also means that all the googled fixes and the fixes that have been replied on similar questions here do not apply to my situation, as I have tried all of these things but nothing works. I do not have another keyboard I can plug in to see if this problem is keyboard specific....

    :)

PRNTSCR Print Screen does not copy to clipboard

As of yesterday, when I press the PrntScr (Print Screen) button on my laptop, it does not copy to the clipboard. So for example, if I PrntScr my desktop and try to paste it in MS Word or MS Paint or anything, it will simply not paste anything, or paste the last thing that was on the clipboard. If I open the clipboard and take a screenshot of something, nothing happens on the clipboard.

I know the physical key is still working because I have Dropbox screenshots enabled, and whenever I press PrntScr, it shows me a notification saying that the screenshot has been saved. Also, ALT+PrntScr seems to work, but that's only for the current window, and I frequently screenshot my entire workspace. I'm not looking for alternative screen capture software -- I like the simplicity of the PrntScr key.

This key had been working fine for me for the last year I've had this laptop. No software was installed or anything like that over the last couple of days. Any help is appreciated.

  3. Print screen shortcut for non full size keyboard?

I use dropbox for screenshots with the print screen button, i just got a new keyboard and it doesnt have that button, i got the logitech program so i can remap keys but print screen is not an option

The snip tool wont work since it doesnt automatically save to dropbox the way print screen does

Is there some shortcut or key combination to replicate print screen? Not snip tool

    print screen button incorrect result

in Settings I enabled a "print screen" button that allows to take a screen shot just by clicking on the key on your keyboard, and it seems to be a great feature and works easy, but the problem is that if I need to take a screenshot of my Desktop, THIS
completely erases my clipboard history ! MOREover if I take another one, the new picture not appears next in clipboard history (WIN + V), but just replaces the previous one ! it happens only with Desktop screenshots, both window and Full Screen mode, but when
I take a pic of web browser or MS Word window, no such problem occurs, screenshots come one by one all listed in clipboard history. Please guide me if I can fix it ?
