    Print screen saving


    After I click "Print screen" a window pops up where I can do a rectangular snip. After taking that snip by dragging my mouse over what I wanted a picture of the picture isn't saved to any folder. I've heard it saves it to your clipboard? Not to sure what that is. Please help. Thanks.

    P.S.: I'd like to save it to a folder and not a "clipboard" so if you could suggest a way that I could do that please do so. Thanks again.

    Print to PDF missing in Printer List

    Hi William,

    We suggest that you disable and re-enable the Print to PDF feature. Here are the steps:

    • Click on the Start menu and type in Windows Features.
    • Choose Turn Windows features on or off.
    • On the next window, find Microsoft Print to PDF and disable it. Click
      OK to save changes.
    • Restart your PC.
    • Repeat the same steps to re-enable Microsoft Print to PDF.
    If the issue persists, we suggest that you perform the troubleshooting steps suggested on the link below under
    Advanced:

    Fix printer problems

    Your question does not contain all the required information need us to help you.

    Please provide us more information to help you better:


    • Are you able to save the print screen to any applications? Example: Paint or Microsoft Word.

    • How are you trying to accessing the print screen option?

    If you have a print screen button (PrtScn) in the keyboard, I suggest you to use the same and verify the result. You may also try taking the print screen for a particular window by pressing Alt + PrtScn button and verify the result.

    Win key + Print Screen SystRq not always working to take and save screenshots.

    Hello Benoy,

    To better assist you with your concern, I'd like to know the following:

    • When you press Windows key + Print Scrn SysRq, does your computer's screen somehow dim for a moment? Also, after pressing Windows key + Print Scrn SysRq and press Ctrl + V in Paint, does the screenshot appears?
    • Confirm which build is currently installed on your device. To check, follow the steps below:
    1. Press Windows key + R, then type in winver.
    2. Click OK.
    • What is the make and model of your device?

    To save your screenshot as a file, it would depend on the key combination that will trigger to capture a screenshot and automatically save it to the Screenshots folder. Here are some examples of print screen key combination depending on the manufacturer
    of the device (Windows logo key + Ctrl + PrintScrn, or Windows logo key + Fn + PrintScrn)
