Windows 10: Print to PDF problem

After updating Windows 11, I tried to print a file to PDF. Instead of printing to PDF, the system printed the file on my Brother printer. When I checked the properties of the Print to PDF printer, I received a message about an incorrect driver. I removed the printer and tried to add it again, but when I attempt to add it, I don't see the Print to PDF printer among the Microsoft printers.I've tried everything I found on Google and OpenAI, without any results. Among others:C:\Windows\System32>DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth Deployment Image Servicing and Management tool Version: 1

Hi William,

We suggest that you disable and re-enable the Print to PDF feature. Here are the steps:

• Click on the Start menu and type in Windows Features.
• Choose Turn Windows features on or off.
• On the next window, find Microsoft Print to PDF and disable it. Click
  OK to save changes.
• Restart your PC.
• Repeat the same steps to re-enable Microsoft Print to PDF.

Thanks for your help. I was browsing the web the other day and I found a page called FINAL DRAFT. They had a set of instructions for reinstalling the Microsoft Print to PDF utility that worked great for me. Problem solved.

 

PDF Printing Problem With Edge

In order to assist you better could you please confirm a couple of things:

• How did you try to print?
• What happens when you try to print?
• Did you receive any error message?

Nevertheless, I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if this helps:

• Open the PDF file which you want to print.
• Click on the Ellipses which is at the top right hand corner of the Edge Browser.
• Select Print option and then click ok.
