Windows 10: Print to PDF, selected text is blank

1st I'll apologize that this is long and for placing in the wrong forum location. I have researched and tried quite a few potential solutions that I'll try to include. TL/DR: On a website, if there is a popup window, printing to PDF shows blank information for the selected text in the popup window.Up until the last few days, I have been able to print these popups to PDF with no issue. We have several computers in the office and I've tried at home, and this fails on about 90% of the computers I've tried I don't know their status previously, I just know it started with mine a few days ago.

To understand the issue better, I suggest you to answer the below questions.

• What happens when you select small bunch of images and try to print?
• Is the issue specific to the Microsoft Print to PDF?

I would suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it helps you.

• Create a new folder and copy the images you want in PDF.
• Sort the images as you want. (It always copies as per the sorted time/date)
• Set the images in Order/Sequence as you want it to be set in PDF.
• Select all and Print it to PDF.

Microsoft Word

Highlight the text you want to print

Press CTRL+P

In the Print dialog, find the print selection dropdown box

From the dropdown, choose "Just what you selected."

Microsoft Excel

Highlight the cells you want to print

Go to File > Print

Find the print selection dropdown box

From the dropdown, choose "Print selection."

Google Chrome - many ways to do this; here's one:

Select the text you want to print.

Press CTRL+C

Open Microsoft Word to a blank page.

In the Home ribbon and the Clipboard group, find the Paste dropdown icon.

From the dropdown list, choose how you would like the copied text to look (formatted, not formatted, etc.)

P.S. Everyone should be concerned about wasting paper and ink. That's why it's best to save in PDF format rather than printing on paper. Most third-party PDF readers install a printer driver that lets you 'print' to PDF just as you would otherwise
print to paper. You can also save to OneNote.

 

unable to select Microsoft Print to PDF, as the driver is not available

I have been unable to install/repair Microsoft Print to PDF. After working my way through several online suggestions, including:

SFC scan, DISM scan, making sure .NET framework was enabled, using the windows 10 update troubleshooter and resetting the windows update components I was finally able to activate Microsoft Print to PDF within the "Turn Windows features on and off" only after
I turned off the print spooler. Then and only then was I able to select the Microsoft Print to PDF in the windows features and then have it successfully load.

The problem now is that if I go into add device and then select printer not listed and try to add a new local printer, if I select Microsoft as the printer, the option of Print to PDF is not listed. In other words, the driver for Microsoft Print
to PDF is not listed as an option. Any help on how to reinstall/repair this?
