Windows 10: printed document says on screen, as dark gray, cannot remove

When we open a PDF and print it, the image stays as a dark gray "ghost" on the screen after printing. It will not go away...     Using windows and HP printer. When we open a PDF and print it, the image stays as a dark gray "ghost" on the screen after printing. It will not go away unless we restart the computer. You cannot click on it in any way - it just exists. Help?

    Thanks for the reply...However, I cant preform any of the steps you have mentioned, because my laptop display doesn’t show anything but a dark gray screen so I cant see whats happening.

    Windows 10 printing issue while printing picture from Document files.

    To assist you better, please provided us the information below:

    • When you say that "I cannot print a picture from my Documents file", are you trying to print a picture present in a word document file or trying to print a picture on Windows 10?

    I suggest you to follow the steps provided in the Microsoft Help Article about printer related issues and check if it helps.
