Windows 10: Printer and Bluetooth Management Issues after Win11 Upgrade

I've run into an issue after upgrading from Windows 10 to Windows 11. When I initially discovered the issue, I rolled back to Windows 10 for a bit and then upgraded to Windows 11 again. Unfortunately I ran into the same issue again.Essentially, if I attempt to add a device, such as a printer or a Bluetooth device, the corresponding window just hangs and I never make any progress. I am able to create new printers via PowerShell and the manufacturer setup applications. Trying to do anything with Bluetooth either elicits no response via the Add device button or the window will open but will be un

• Is it a wired or wireless printer?
• Is the printer connected via network to your computer?

I suggest you to make printer as a default printer you can follow the below steps:

• Press Windows key+ X and select
  device manager.
• Select devices and printers
• Right click on the printer you want to use, and then click
  set as default printer (You'll see a check mark on the printer's icon signifying that it's now your default printer).

I suggest you to update the drivers for the printers and check if it helps.

I also recommend you to run the print troubleshooter to check the issue.

Bluetooth Printer

My friend has a Dell Colour Printer 720 which connects to his Acer Laptop via USB. He was wondering if there was any way to go Wireless, e.g. connect the Printer to the laptop via bluetooth. Does anyone know what he will need in order to do this? Please reply soon as it's quite urgent. Thank you.

I would suggest to perform some basic troubleshooting steps by following the article to find out the reason and to update the Bluetooth driver.

Check the Status of the Bluetooth in Device Manager and update it:

• Search Device Manager using Cortana.
• Right click Bluetooth drivers and select the Update driver software.

Check also if the Bluetooth service on your laptop is enabled by following this steps:

• Press Windows key + R and type service.msc
• Search for Bluetooth Support Service.
• Right click on the Service and click on Enable.
