Windows 10: Printer does not source from cassette anymore

Hi there,Since the update to Windows 11 when printing, the printer stalls and indicates no paper in rear tray. However, I want to be able to feed the paper from the cassette. Even when selecting paper source: cassette, it won't let me do it.Could you please help?Printer is Canon Pixma TS6300 seriesDriver: type 3 - user modeDriver version: 3.51.2.40Thanks for your help!Muriel

To be sure that you followed my suggestion correctly, I will specify some steps: CP>devices and printers>add a printer>the printer that I want isn't listed>add a local printer with manual settings>define port>Windows update and install

 

Changing paper source when printing.

Since you were able to do it a couple times but it took so long means you need to reinstall the printer to fix this issue.

Kindly follow these steps:

In Start, search 'Control panel'

In Printers section, remove Canon - TR8520.

If you have installation Media, you can use it.

Download latest driver for Canon - TR8520 from:

As in your Manual,

As usual you can select the paper source

From the Paper Source list on the Main tab, select the paper source that matches your purpose.

Automatically Select

Based on the paper settings in the printer driver and the paper information registered on the printer, the printer automatically determines the paper source and feeds paper.

Rear Tray

Paper is always fed from the rear tray.

Cassette

Paper is always fed from the cassette.

I am sorry to know that you are having issues with Printer.

What and all steps have you tried so far?

Restart the computer and check.

Also, check for Windows updates.

I suggest you to run the Printer Troubleshooter and check if it helps.

  In Search window type Troubleshooting and click on it to open it.

  Click on Hardware and Sound.

  Then click on Printer to run the troubleshooter. Follow onscreen steps.
