Windows 10: Printer driver is currently in use can't install the software

Hi I have a problem installing my printer. I get the following error.

(MP Drivers Printer driver is currently in use. If you are not using the printer driver, it
may be used by other users on this computer.
Exit all applications and printer properties and then try again.
If you still have a problem, restart the computer and then try again.)


I am running Windows 10 Pro. and I have uninstalled the printers stopped the printer spooler, That gives me another error. Saying I must start it up I think? I should know this as I was at it all last night! tried doing it wirelessly and with the USB. I can't remember how I got it on my computer the last time. But I was sure it was by stopping the printer spooler, but obviously not. But I am sure I am close to what I have to do.

Don't believe it Google Cannon in my case mp driver's the make and model and click on the appropriate link for your printer and download the 2 drivers for your printer. Install them first then use your data cd. And that's it fixed.

But now I have a new problem I don't see anywhere you can save Adobe preferences. As it doesn't pick up my printer I have to go into preferences but there's no button to save it. So could you please help me with this problem.

Oh I found out how to fix Start Adobe. Edit preferences or ctrl+k
To disable Protected Mode:

Edit - Preferences - Security (Enhanced)
Uncheck Enable Protected Mode at Startup
Close Preferences & Close Reader. Make sure you click OK.

Three ways to find and install a driver:

• Use Windows Update. Windows Update might have an updated version of your printer driver.
  
• Install software from the printer manufacturer. If your printer came with a disc, that disc might contain software that installs a driver for the printer.
  
• Download and install the driver yourself . You can search for a driver on the manufacturer's website. Try this if Windows Update can't find a driver for your printer, and the printer didn't come with software that installs a driver.
