Windows 10: Printer Driver problem Konica Universal printer driver PCL v4

Konica Universal Printer Driver PCL v.4 was installed in the print server Windows 2019. Some Konica BizHub printers were added, which use that driver and shared on the server.We have Windows 11, 10 and 2022 computers attached to the shared print queue and the driver was changed by Windows to Microsoft Enhanced Point and Print Driver". We have some printers / printer queue use Konica Universal Printer Driver PCL v2 and v3, however, the client Windows computer install the correct driver.Two Windows 2022 servers tried to install V4 driver but failed with Error 5.any suggestion is welcome. Win 10 driver for konica minolta1350w laser printer

Thanks for your suggestion. However, I have not been able to find a Windows 10 driver for my Konica Minolta Pagepro 1350w laser printer. Contacted Konica technical support . Was advised that printer driver is not listed on their site, which I knew. They
could offer no other help.

Any other suggestions will be appreciated.

Printer with decent driver

look for printers with PCL / Postscript support .. these languages are standarized and there are drivers for all platforms.

 

Postscript printer driver which can use a PPD?

Lexmark Universal Print driver v2 allows to print at 600, 1200 and 4800dpi and it seems to work for other brand printers. Tested on my Ricoh printer. It comes in PCL5, PCL XL and PS flavours. Lots of options to tinker with too, although some of them aren't working (brightness, toner density). I have also tried Xerox global driver (which works with my Ricoh too but it's nothing special). Tested Brother universal PCL driver too but it seems to work with Brother printers only.

I'd like MS to provide generic PCL and Postcript drivers with options to manually specify halftones and such. As of now, even with v4 drivers, printing under Windows seem quite lackluster as far as drivers is concerned.
