Windows 10: Printer error 0x8007007e Windows 10 version 1903

About 2 weeks ago I started receiving this error when I attempt to print from Edge. The error reads "Your printer has experienced an unexpected configuration problem 0x8007007e". The printer works fine from other apps and devices, but I need to be able to use it from my browser as well. I installed the latest Windows update and also the latest print driver from Canon, all to no avail. I suspect this is regression problem caused by a recent update. Can anyone help?

I would suggest you to run the troubleshooter from Microsoft to know what exactly is causing the error. To run the troubleshooter, click on
Fix printer problems.

Tried the suggested DISM with following errors
