Windows 10: printer is shown in printer when prinitn but not in printers & scanners

I have a strange situation where two printers are shown in the printer when printing but not in printers & scanners devices see picture.




This makes me not able to add these printers again.







any help how to solve this issue

Hi TT,

As shown on the screen shots shown before, the printer is listed in devices, but doesnt appear with the Windows 10 printers and scanners section.

However, the printer does appear to be working at the moment, so I will let it be at that, just strange it should show on one listing but not the other.

Printer advice

hp printers have the most expensive ink of all printers, the most economical is cannon and epson so i suggest if you looking to keep costs down look at those brands.

that being said it may not have the best print quality if it uses less costly ink.

if keeping cost down is the most important then shop in reverse, find a brand that has cheap replacement ink cartridges then see what printers they are used on. then from that list look to see if you like any of those printers and if they are affordable to you, if not then select another ink cartridge and look at the printers that those are used on. this method will give you the most affordable printer and the cheapest cost of replacement ink.

Hi decided to go for the

as it is wireless and ink including compatible ink is not to expensive and the price of the printer itself is pretty good, also the size is good compared to the workforce ones as they to me are pretty clumsy.
