Windows 10: Printer not showing up in Win 10 Printers & Scanners

Discus and support Printer not showing up in Win 10 Printers & Scanners in Windows 10 Drivers and Hardware to solve the problem; After reinstalling printer driver for Epson printer, the printer is not visible in Settings.     Printer not showing up in Win 10 Printers & Scanners


    After reinstalling printer driver for Epson printer, the printer is not visible in Settings.

    Have a new Lenovo ThinkCenter Mini 64-bit processor.

    Windows 10 Pro Version 1809 Build 17763.864
    Epson WorkForce WF-2630 printer (connected by USB)


    1) Downloaded Drivers and Utilities Combo Package Installer [1].

    2) I am using this printer daily, but printer is not default.


    3) Attempting to select printer as default

    Settings > Printers & scanners

    Printer not listed


    4) Attempting to add printer to list

    Settings > Printers & scanners > Add printers & scanners
    Does not find printer.

    Hello,

    Another method you may try is to uninstall and reinstall the printer. The following are the steps:



    Remove your printer

    • Select the Start button, then select Settings > Devices > Printers and Scanners.
    • Under Printers & scanners, find the printer, select it, and then select Remove device.


    Install or add a local printer

    • Select the Start button, then select Settings > Devices > Printers and Scanners.
    • Under Printers & Scanners, see if your printer is installed.
    • If you don’t see your device, select Add a printer or scanner. Wait for it to find available printers, choose the one you want, and then select Add device.


    On the other hand, we suggest also that you reach out the manufacturer of your printer/scanner for the driver availability or work around.

    No printers in Win 10

    Installed Win 10 (after 12 hrs!) and none of my printers show up under Printers and Scanners. I had 6 listed under Win 8.1 including the networked units. Nor do the scanners. Now what? Back to Win 7 or maybe 8.1?

    Printer/scanner not showing in Windows settings - printers and scanners

    My USB printer / scanner does not show in the list of printers but the scanner does show in the scanners section.

    If I go to old style control panel devices and printers, the device shows in the Unspecified section with the following details

    The device works absolutely fine with all programs. I presume Windows is not showing this device as a printer or scanner in settings because it is wrongly categorised. How do I get this to appear in the right places in settings?

    I have Windows 10 Pro with the 1909 update installed.
