Windows 10: Printer offline in Windows 10

My 2 laptops and my 2 brand new computers are all on the latest windows 10. I'm trying to get my printer setup for my daughters to use with home schooling, but I can't keep them from showing offline. I've tried every single thing I can find to do from searching these groups. I've set manual ip, restarted print spooler, etc, but nothing works. I was originally using my hp envy, but it wouldn't stay online so I bought a new hp printer, same issues. So yesterday I decided to try a different brand, and went and bought a Canon. After sitting for a bit or a computer restart, all printers show offline in windows 10. Only way to get them back online is to restart printer. This is very frustrating for me and my daughters with them trying to print schoolwork. There has to be something I can do to make these appear online? I know it's not the printer because I can still use it from my phone, but it won't do anything from the computer. Please help!!

I suggest you to follow the below given methods and see if that helps.

Method 1:

I suggest you try
changing the printer’s status from “offline” to “online” and check if it resolves the issue.

Method 2:


If the issue persists, I would have you download and run the HP Scan doctor from the manufacturers website. Refer to the article and follow the suggestion on

Method 3:


If the issue persists, I suggest you refer to the article

and perform the troubleshooting steps mentioned and see if that helps.
