Windows 10: Printer runs but doesn't print unless run troubleshooter

My Lexmark printer is great, but recently it will spin up as though printing, but not actually print anything, unless I run the troubleshooter - which reports nothing wrong, but then all printing does work.All works fine, until it sits for a few days unused, then the same symptoms. It is network connected, and has the same symptoms from any machine on the local network.

Try the below methods and check if that helps:

Method 1: Run the Hardware Troubleshooter

The Hardware Troubleshooter is an automated tool which checks the hardware connected to the computer for any known issues and provides the details on how to fix them. Follow these steps to run the troubleshooter.

        Open Control Panel.
        
      • 
        Type “Troubleshooting” in the search bar and press “Enter”.
        
      • 
        In the “Troubleshooting” window, click on “View All” on the left pane.
        
      • 
        Click on “Hardware and Devices”.
        
      • 
        Click on “Advanced” and then click on “Run as Administrator”.
        
      • 
        Click “Next” and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the troubleshooting process.
        

Now, check if you are able to print. If the issue persists, then I would suggest you to go ahead with the next method.

Method 2:

Run the Printer troubleshooter and check if you are get an error.

Method 3:

Uninstall the printer driver software from the computer and remove the connectivity that you have with the printer from the computer.

Once the printer driver is uninstalled, restart the computer and install the software and check if you are able to print the documents

Printer isn´t working after latest update.

After the latest update from Windows, my Canon Pixma ip6600 printer isnt working. In Device Manager it shows up as working properly but when I go to print it isn´t listed as an option in any programs. Troubleshoot suggests it´s a USB 2 printer on a USB
3 port and that that´s the problem but that cant be since it worked fine before the update. I´ve tried to uninstall and plug it back in but that doesn´t work either.

thanks for response. I tried your steps with a Google DNS and Open DNS - but it doesn´t help.

The game still crashes in the moment I try to run it.

I'll be glad for another solutions.
