Windows 10: Printer/scanner no longer working in Win 11

Epson Workforce 645 Win 11I needed my scanner this week and have been unable to use it and my printer is now going offline all the time for no apparent reason, even though the printer says the network connection is good. Yes, I uninstalled/reinstalled everything, updated drivers, turned power off/on, etc. I tried everything!What is Windows Protected Print Mode WPP and if Win 11 installed it, I didn't speifically accept it, why is it apparently operative, and what can I do about it? I read something about "mopria" compatability. Is this the problem?HELP!!Thank you.

Windows 10 recognizes my printer+scanner only as a printer.

Another method you may try is to uninstall and reinstall the printer. The following are the steps:



Remove your printer

• Select the Start button, then select Settings > Devices > Printers and Scanners.
• Under Printers & scanners, find the printer, select it, and then select Remove device.

Install or add a local printer

• Select the Start button, then select Settings > Devices > Printers and Scanners.
• Under Printers & Scanners, see if your printer is installed.
• If you don’t see your device, select Add a printer or scanner. Wait for it to find available printers, choose the one you want, and then select Add device.

On the other hand, we suggest also that you reach out the manufacturer of your printer/scanner for the driver availability or work around.

scanner not working

upgraded to Windows 10. Printer/scanner= Lexmark X6650. printer still works but scanner no longer works. Printer shows message "downloading application list" , very long pause then printer displays "cannot retrieve application list"

How do I fix this?

 

Epson V30 no longer in Printers/scanners

I have Windows 10 but my Epson V30 scanner/copier no longer appears in "printers/scanners" although listed in system as recently added.

Checked all connections.

Tried repairing with disc.

Tried uninstalling & reloading with disc.

Tried again repairing with disc.

Downloaded new driver from Epson.

How can I get this working again?
