Windows 10: Printers go offline after last windows update

I have read various discussions and feel this is a more generalized problem. I use an HP 8600 at home with one computer hooked up via wire from modem and two printing via wi-fi. I also have the problem at work using a Samsung copier/fax unit and an HP 8210, both on intranet. Since I am having the same problem with multiple computers and multiple printers, some on wire and some wireless, I'm making the leap that this is a bigger problem. If I go to services, print spooler and restart the spooler the problem is solved - I should not have to do that. Any ideas?

I suggest you to follow the below given methods and see if that helps.

Method 1:

I suggest you try
changing the printer’s status from “offline” to “online” and check if it resolves the issue.

Method 2:


If the issue persists, I would have you download and run the HP Scan doctor from the manufacturers website. Refer to the article and follow the suggestion on

Method 3:


If the issue persists, I suggest you refer to the article

and perform the troubleshooting steps mentioned and see if that helps.

• May I know the update that was installed? To check go to Start >> Settings >> Update & Security >> Windows Update >> View update history.
  
• Which build version of Windows 10 is installed on the computer? Refer
  Which version of Windows operating system am I running?

The printer status is Offline or Paused.
