Windows 10: Printers have all disappeared after March 2024 update on tuesday/wednesday.

Hi My printers have all disappeared after the March 2024 Windows 11 update . Troubleshooters in 'Settings' don't work, and I'm unable to add printers, as the 'Settings' app just hangs.I have booted into 'Safe' mode and can see the printers in the printer list. I have removed the most recent 'Quality' and 'Feature' updates and this hasn't made any difference. Checking for updates has no effect apart from the constant cycle of the search for updates;I really don't want to reinstall windows if I can avoid it.Any suggestions?

I did not receive all updates on "patch Tuesday" for March 14, 2023. Was this the case for anyone else?

Only one update was released for Windows 10/11 on that day, the Quality Update. The March 2023 .NET Framework Security Update hasn't been released yet. But, as far as I know, the .NET Framework security updates don't necessarily release on Patch Tuesdays.

To be sure that you followed my suggestion correctly, I will specify some steps: CP>devices and printers>add a printer>the printer that I want isn't listed>add a local printer with manual settings>define port>Windows update and install
