Windows 10: Printhead alignments alway failed. I have Windows 10 and my default printer is a HP...

3 days ago the printer stopped printing in color. I changed the Printhead, installed new HP cartridges and still no printed pages. The test pages showed that an alignment was required.

I have been trying to solve the problem without success. I must have aligned the printheads at least 10 times and it failed every time.

I think it has something to with the Window 10 Updates. I do not know how to solve that problem.

I really could use some advice.

Printhead

I have HP Officejet 6600, with USB connect. Keep getting "printhead, missing, uncompatible ". I don't think printhead comes out to clean. Tried wet paper towel behind cartridge holder with some ink on wet towel after manually passing cartridge over towel.
Still getting same message. Printer about 3 years old. My laptop froze a few days ago. I took out battery and reinserted and laptop worked fine. Printhead error came as soon as I started to try to print. Should I get new printhead?

Can't set HP printer as default in Windows 10

I upgraded to Windows 10 and have an HP OfficeJet Pro 8500 printer.

I uninstalled the old printer driver and re-installed the Windows 10 version from HP.

When I look at the printers in the control panel the printer is listed under devices as a "Scanner, storage device."

It is not listed with the printers. Therefore, I can not set it as the default printer.

I can select it when I want to print something but it is not the default. "Microsoft Print to PDF" is the default device and it is listed under printers.

How do I get Windows 10 to recognize the HP as a printer to be able to set it as the default?

 

Hp Printer prints alignment page when turned on each time

We have an HP Deskjet 3050A printer. Every time we replace the ink it will constantly want to print an alignment page then when scanned it fails to align. How can we stop this printer from printing an alignment page?
