Windows 10: Printing a legal size document

Discus and support Printing a legal size document in Windows 10 Drivers and Hardware to solve the problem; The option to print a legal size document is no longer available.     scale printing to all legal size documents

    Hi Everyone,

    I'm not sure if this question belongs here or the printer support but I need to set a rule in windows if trying to print a legal-size document to always apply to scale and not in a specific document.

    the problem is when one of our users is printing one document a can just change the scale to 78% and all is fine but when you try to print multiple documents (more than 20 ) it a bit of a time-consuming task to print them one by one to make sure the size
    of the original document is legal-size or latter size, is there a solution to this problem?

    the users are using windows 10 and remote connecting to windows server 2012 R2

    the office printer is Toshiba E-Studio 450AC

    custom scaling documents for printing in windows 10.

    Hi,

    Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

    I understand your concern regarding the issue that you are facing.

    • How you trying to scale the documents?
    • Which application you are using for scaling the documents.

    I would suggest you to try the following steps and check if it helps.

    1. Press control key + p.

    2. Now select the number of pages you want to scale while printing.

    3. Click apply.

    4. Now click on print.

    Please try the above suggestions and let us know the status of the issue.

    Microsoft Print to PDF - custom paper sizes possible?

    Hi,

    We suggest that you try to set the paper size of the exact document first. You can create a custom page size before you proceed with
    Microsoft Print to PDF, it should auto-detect the paper size of the document.

    To set the paper size in Microsoft Office:

    • Click on the Page Layout/Page Design tab.
    • Click on Size, and then in the options available, click on
      More Paper Sizes...
    • Click on the drop-down arrow and scroll down to the last option which is
      Custom size      . You will be able to customize your preferred paper size.
    • Once done, click on OK, and then proceed with Microsoft Print to PDF.

    Let us know how it goes.
