Windows 10: Printing a pdf directly to outlook as an email attachment

I don't see this answered anywhere though it's been asked several times.I could do this on my Mac so I feel there should be a way in Windows. On my Mac, I could setup outlook as a destination for print as a pdf. This would open up a new email with the printed document attached. This saves the process of having to print to a file saved somewhere in my directory structure, then creating an email and attaching it.Please advise how to accomplish this in Windows. I'm using outlook for office 365.

Printing a document directly to Outlook as an email attachment

I am trying to find a way to have Outlook be an available printer for documents. I would like to email a PDF that I have opened but not saved on my computer. My thought was to have Outlook available as a print option that would take the unsaved PDF directly
into an email as an attachment.

Any thoughts on this one?

 

Quick Print multiple emails with attachments.

I'm testing Office version 1908 and its still a problem, yes can select multiple emails and use the quick print with attachments only if the attachments are MS office file types. It does not work with pdf files, because the temp file is created and deleted
before the adobe has had a chance to open and print the pdf and it errors out that the file cannot be found because it's already been deleted from the users outlook temp files.

I see a lot of work arounds online, but a fix would be a quicker solutions, I see a lot of posts in different forums about this issue.

I gave her a work around. What she wants to do is select multiple emails that are listed and hit quick print. work around added quick print to the QAT, so at least she can print them quicker can do one at a time.

But cannot do multiple emails at a time if the attachments are pdf. Using File-Print - print options set to with attachments, it only prints the email messages no attachments. Tried drag/dropping multiple emails into a new email sent it to myself, tried
print with attachments only printed the emails not the pdf attachments.

I tested with different file types i.e. .doc, docx, xls, xlsx, ppt, pptx, problem just occurs with pdf attachments.

pdf attachment on an email in outlook changes to .dat format

I use Outlook on my Windows 10 laptop. In the past week, I have had 3 situations in which an email downloaded with a pdf attachment. After it downloaded and I had opened the attachment, the attachment format changed to .dat & now the attachments are useless.
I have gotten other emails with pdf attachments during this same time period and they are just fine.

I typically leave my outlook window open all the time and have it set up so that the default view is to show my unread emails (from two different email accounts). All 3 of the emails where the format of the attached file changed were listed at the top of
the unread email list (they were the most recent unread email on that day).

The format change seems to occur "overnight", i.e., all is well when I last use my laptop in the evening and then when I return the next morning, the attachment format changed.

Any ideas on the cause and how to prevent this problem would be greatly appreciated.
