Windows 10: printing .fdf files not working

I can print .fdf files from one internet site with no problem, but another site gives me an error message saying no supported printer connected. I've searched and can't find a solution that works. .fdf files are temporary pdf files that expire or allow only limited printing. the site that doesn't work has suggested answers to other print errors but not this one. The site requires using Adobe acrobat reader DC to print the files, I have uninstalled and reinstalled, run troubleshooter on the printer and laptop, changed adobe acrobat reader dc settings to enable javascript, contacted the si

Occasionally "Microsoft print to pdf" creates empty files

Have already done all of the steps suggested in that link.
The problem only happens occasionally; maybe two or three times a day.
Happening on several PC's, the only way to catch it before it goes to customers is the size of the file created.
If it is 0 or 1kb, it's a blank document.
Microsoft Print to pdf was working fine until about two weeks ago.

The printer now is on ready mode
I configure the hold to 60 minutes.
After that I tried to print a small text but didn't work
The printer usually shows on lcd that is recivieng data,
and today in the beginning of this problem until now didn't show that message.

I did everything step by step.

and now the printer is working.

 

Microsoft Edge "Print Email" not working

I suggest you to make sure that you made the following settings and check if you are able to print.

Step 1:

  Open MS Edge and click on more actions [...]
  
• 
  Click on Settings and select
  Print.
  
• 
  Choose your printer from the list and check if you are able to print.
  

Step 2:

• 
  Press Windows key and type
  Control Panel.
  
• 
  Click on view by and select large icons.
  
• 
  Open Devices and printers.
  
• 
  Right click on your printer and select set a default printer.
