Printing from Windows File Explorer using Premium paper selection

I have always printed pictures directly from File Explorer with no problems, until recently. When I print, choosing either the Premium Photo Paper Glossy or Premium Presentation Paper Matte paper types, my selection will have areas that are blank. I can print the same selection from File Explorer with no problem using the Plain Paper option. I do not have the problem when I print from other programs. So it seems to be confined to File Explorer. Any suggestions?

    :)

Printing a paper to my Brother printer using windows prints portrait on a landscape paper

Hello NewDev4IOS, welcome to the Microsoft community, my name is Luiz Cruz, an independent consultant and I would be happy to help you.

I suggest you do the following procedures for the possible resolution of the problem:

Printing is out of alignment or the size of the printed document is reduced when printing the document from Microsoft Word.

Please follow the steps below to set the paper size correctly.

1.Open the document with Word 2010.

    2. Click to select the paper size in the Settings section and select the paper size you want to use for printing.

    3. Click to select the paper size in the Settings section and select the paper size you want to use for printing.

"If the paper size shown appears as the chosen one, be sure to click on the menu and from the drop down menu choose the paper size again".

Example: If you are printing a Letter size and Letter document is shown, click on the drop down menu from the menu and choose "Letter" again.

    4.Click Print.

    5. If the document prints without any problems, click Save on the File menu.

This problem can only occur if the paper size was not defined before the document was created. Before printing the document, we recommend setting the paper size and saving the configuration, following the steps above.

I hope I helped, even more!

    • Click on "More actions" link (This is link with three dots (...) at right side on address bar)
    • In "More actions" menu, Click on "Print" to open Print Settings dialog.
    • In Print Settings dialog, select Printer that you want to use. Select "Microsoft XPS Document Writer" if you want to print to XPS document or select "Microsoft Print to PDF" if you want to print webpage to PDF file. You can also select any physical printer
      to print webpage to paper.
    • Select other print options like print orientation, pages that you want to print, scaling, margins and option to print page headers and footers.
