Windows 10: Printing Problem with One Drive and WordPerfect

I’m having a very troublesome, if not interesting, situation with WordPerfect. For several weeks I have not been able to print from WordPerfect. Each time I want to print I get an error message telling me “Can not run PrintServer200.exe” for WordPerfect 2020 or “Can not run PrintServer160.exe” for WordPerfect X6. I have tried every possible solution that I came across in my searches on the Internet, including those on Barry MacDonnell’s wonderful site, but nothing, absolutely nothing worked. I even downloaded the trial version of the latest WordPerfect 2021 and received exactly the same re

Unable to open wordperfect files

Thank you for your interest in Windows 10.

I suggest you to uninstall and reinstall WordPerfect x7and check if it fixes the issue. Follow the steps below to uninstall
WordPerfect x7:

• Press Windows key + X.
• Click on Programs and Features.
• Look for WordPerfect x7and right click on it and click on
  uninstall.
• Reboot the computer after uninstall is complete and try to reinstall it.

Printing documents from WordPerfect

Are you able to print from other applications such as WordPad or Notepad successfully?

Which version of WordPerfect is installed?

What is the make and model of your printer?

Have you tried checking for updates or repairing Corel Office or WordPerfect to see if it corrects the problem?

Check for updates:

If these steps are not successful:

Press Windows key + R

Type: appwiz.cpl

Hit Enter

Click View installed updates

Select the recent update

Right click it then click uninstall.

Restart into Normal mode then check if stability/functionality is restored. If it is, proceed with the next steps.

The update will try to install again, so use the following to block it:

Is there an option or work around to block updates or hardware drivers that might cause problems?

Yes, Microsoft has released a KB update (KB3073930) that will let users block or hide Windows or driver updates.

You can download it at the following link:

After downloading, launch it, click Next, wait while it detects pending Windows Updates.

Click the Hide Updates menu.

Scroll through the list then select then select the update. Check the box next to the update then click Next to confirm changes.

If that does not work:

Press Windows key + R

Type: rstrui.exe

Hit Enter

This will start the system restore wizard. Choose a restore point before the problem started.

 

Printing documents from WordPerfect

Prior to last update for Windows 10 I was able to print all documents from WordPerfect. Now when I hit the print button, WordPerfect completely disappears from the screen and the screen reverts back to the last screen.
