Windows 10: Printing specific Word document with Croatian letters like `ć` continually stuck in queue

After several hours of troubleshooting to understand why the printer's document queue would freeze when printing a specific Microsoft Word document, I finally identified the issue and pinpointed reproducible steps.The problem was with the document's filename, which contained Croatian letters like ć and/or č, causing the Windows print spooler to hang. Strangely, this only occurs with .docx files—if the file is a .pdf with the same characters, it prints without any issues!The issue happens regardless of whether I use the "HP Smart" software or print without it.Would this be considered a bug? Printing continually stuck in queue after printing

My Surface Pro is stand alone and not on a network. Each time I print a document (Word or PDF) it gets stuck in the print queue. I need to do three steps to free the printer.

Firstly I go to 'Services app' and scroll to Print Spooler and Stop the service. I then need to go to 'C:\windows\System32\spool\PRINTERS' and delete print files. I then need to go back to Service app and Restart the print spooler before I can print my next
document.

I did not have this problem until a recent update of Windows 10.

The print queue displays output jobs that's is waiting to be completed. It has the most current status of all active and pending print jobs. If its not functioning as intended, it's possible that there's a misconfiguration within the printer settings. To
better assist you, we'd like to ask a few questions:

• Which Windows version are you using? Type winver in the search bar and press
  Enter to find out.
• Have you made any changes on you device prior to the issue?

Job in print queue stuck

I had a job stuck in print queue earlier. Would not delete, received advice to turn off spooler, empty spooler file file, turn spooler back on. Worked for one document. The second document is stuck no matter what I do, repeated the above steps, nothing
in queue, reinstalled printer software, rebooted printer and pc. It keeps printing the same document regardless of what I am printing. It's maddening!
