Windows 10: Privacy issues

Why is it that Microsoft logs my personal searches on my laptop online? This is disgusting and scary when u use the private search bar to search for something on your laptop, Microsoft immediately logs in the information on its browser Microsoft Edge and proposes you the search results online. If i wanted to search online i would have use a browser and not do the search on my laptop. This makes it even scarier when I cannot uninstall the Microsoft edge because of the privacy violations and when I try to turn this off by going to permissions and history>>include or exclude web searches fr

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.

 

Camera and Microphone Privacy

This issue occurs due to permission issue, driver issue, license for an app is out of sync with the license installed on the computer or if the app is not updated. To give permission to Camera and Microphone app, you may follow
these steps:

• Go to Settings.
• Select Privacy.
• Look for Camera, make sure that “Let apps use my camera” is turned On. You may choose the apps that can use your camera as well.
• Go back to Privacy and select Microphone, make sure that “Let apps use my microphone” is turned On. You may choose the apps that can use your microphone as well.

Setting the above to true seems to help.

RE: Firefox. I use the 32 bit version on a 64 bit machine. Some tweaks have to be reapplied after an update although in some cases restoring a profile backup might help.

As for Youtube. Forget it. Use an Invidious instance or else use FreeTube app.
