    'Privacy Protection' Means I Can't Send Email


    As soon as I turn on MSFT Defender's "Privacy Protection", all of my outgoing Outlook messages fail INSTANTLY, with the following returned: host eig-east.smtp.a.cloudfilter.net [18.215.xx.xxx] SMTP error from remote mail server after end of data: 550 Connection Rejected - see http://www.spamhaus.org/query/ip/[My IP Address] AUP#BL When I turn OFF Privacy Protection, they go through fine. It is literally a one-to-one correlation between Privacy Protection being "on" and messages failing.

    • Are you using Outlook.com, Outlook application, or the Mail app for Windows 10?
    • What type of email account are you using? (POP, IMAP or Exchange)
