Windows 10: private window vs trusteer endpoint protection

IN Edge i would have liked both protectors but for some reason i cannot turn on tep in the private window for use with banking and brokerage. Therefor ive been using the regular window instead and there the tep turns on smoothly. So there r two choices here and my question is which of the two choices gives me the most safety for banking and brokerage? also when travel i end up with shared wifi at hotel or apartmentsOfcourse if there was some fix to get the two to run compatibly together then there would be no chosing one over the other.

Thank you for your response.

Method 1: Remove Edge.

Step1:

1. Press Windows and
   E key together on your Keyboard.
2. Click on view button on the menu bar.
3. Click on Options on the right side corner.
   
4. You will have a pop up, click on view tab.
5. Check the option ‘Show hidden files, folders and drives’.
   
6. Also, make sure to uncheck the option of Hide extensions for known file types.
7. Click on Apply
   and Ok.
   

Step 2:

1. Press Windows and
   E key together on your Keyboard.
2. Navigate to: C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbwe
   (C is the drive where windows is installed)
   
3. Delete all the contents in this folder.

Method 2: Reinstall Edge.

1. Tap on the Windows key on your keyboard.
2. Type: PowerShell
3. Right click on the displayed result and run as administrator.
   
4. Copy and paste the following command.
5. Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers -Name Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml" –Verbose}

Method 3: Reinstall IBM Trusteer Endpoint protection.

I would suggest you to go through
installing Rapport on Windows 10
and follow the on screen instructions.

Once the program is installed, I suggest you install the extension for edge with the help of this article on
How to install
Microsoft Edge Rapport extension.
After the installation, try restarting the pc and check if it helps.

Hello again,

Thanks for that, Microsoft Edge is now reinstalled, I then followed the instructions for reinstalling Rapport, which initially failed, but I then restarted my PC and it did then install Rapport successfully.

I then went into Microsoft Edge, but the pop-up for installing the extension didn't appear, even after again restarting my PC, and more annoyingly the other pop-ups from my very first question started appearing again.

I then went to the Trusteer Endpoint Protection App, clicked on the "Start Trusteer Endpoint Protection" from the drop downs, and then a pop-up appeared that told me that it was already running.

It was definitely working on Google Chrome, but there is no obvious evidence that it is working on Microsoft Edge, i.e. when I select either of my two bank accounts there is no green Rapport symbol showing.

As I just mentioned, I am still getting the pop-ups telling me that the program cannot be found, so it looks like I will just have to continue using Google Chrome as my default browser and keep zapping the Edge error messages whenever they appear.

So, unfortunately, unless you know of any other proposed remedy, then my problem has not been resolved.

1. Did you make any changes to the computer prior to this issue?
   
2. When do you get this error message “Windows cannot find the program”?
   
3. What is the version of Edge browser? (To check: Click on … on the top right corner of the screen in Edge > click on settings > Scroll down and check the version).
   

Follow the troubleshooting steps mentioned below:

I would suggest you to go through Uninstalling
Rapport on Windows 10 and follow the steps to uninstall the application.

I suggest you to go through the article on How
to install Microsoft Edge Rapport extension.
Once the extension is installed for Microsoft edge, try restarting the pc and check if it helps.
