  1. Problem Activating Windows 10 Home because Pro is installed on replacement HDD

    Hi,

My laptop is a Lenovo G50-30 which originally had Windows 8.1 installed and was upgraded as soon as Windows 10 became available to Windows 10 Home. This is the OS associated with the motherboard.

I recently purchased a replacement HDD from eBay as my existing one broke which must have originally been in an HP Laptop and has Windows 10 Pro installed.

I'm now getting an 'Activate Windows' message but despite repeated attempts to reinstall from USB, ISO Image, ISO disc etc. I can't get it to downgrade from Pro to Home.

I've used a utility to find out my product key but I get an error message when I try to use it to activate. 0xc004f050

I've tried troubleshooting via Windows but this doesn't help.

    Can anyone help please?

    Thank you in advance.

    Calum.

    :)

    Windows 10 Activation (Insider)

How long did you wait for activation?
When I re-installed with a fresh install... it took a few hours to sync and activate.
    However, it did, finally, activate.

  3. Clean Windows 10 (?PRO?) install

I have bought a legit "Windows 10 Pro" key of a key website. It is legit since i'm currently using it for over a year now. I currently have Windows 10 Pro installed on my PC and I want to do a clean install. I just can't find the windows 10 Pro download in the tool. But if i could use a windows 10 pro key with a normal windows 10 install, I'll be good to go.

Windows 10 activate After HDD to SSD Replacement

If I replace the HDD with an SSD and do a clean install of windows 10, the Microsoft activation server should recognize my system and activate it, or not?
